QUESTION: Dr – I have to admit, I was skeptical with very advanced gingivitis, and several infected teeth. Just trying maintain what I have until upper. Am 68 yr old in perfect health except teeth. BUT the gums immediately reacted favorably to the Oral-Cal gentle brushing. I am amazed!!!! On some level I feel the absorption of the calcium into the gums. Thanks. ~ RH in NC
ANSWER: Good, an Oral-Cal refill packet is in the mail.
Inherited Gingivitis is an exaggeration to scare people, and an excuse. It can be cured. Dentures are not inevitable. They are more likely chosen or promoted by dentistry. The calcium IS being absorbed into the teeth and the zinc into the gums. This is also why our skin materials are so “amazing” too. Well, it’s really that they are simple and make sense.
About your use of coconut oil too, it may be that the acidic oil holds the calcium/zinc in the tissues longer. Let us know of any other concerns.
