QUESTION: Hi Dr. Manhart – Thank you, I received your product last Friday. I have used carpules twice (soaked in water with 3 drops of Oral Cal). Both times I have experienced a mild allergic reaction – swelling of gums and bumps where carpule has pressed against gums. This subsided by the next day. Much less so when using to clean my teeth or swish around mouth, but still a mild sensitive sensation.
I am very keen to use the products, but am not sure how to proceed. I think it may be the zinc content, as cold tablets with zinc don’t agree with my digestive system. Calcium chips seem OK.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Will healing still take place with just regular brushing with Oral Cal, and use of the calcium chips?
Also can you recommend a Dentist in Melbourne Australia who uses your products, or is encouraging of their use. The Dentist who diagnosed me was angry with me for “neglect” of my teeth. Very upsetting for me, as this seemed to creep up with very few symptoms, even with regular brushing. Thank you and kind regards, – LS in Melbourne
ANSWER: Use only a little of the Oral-Cal and not the Carpules. Wait on the Chips too, and let’s see how you respond.
