QUESTION: I just went to the dentist today and was told i had a mild case of periodontal disease in between all of my molars top to bottom and front to back. They told me i would have to do scalping every 3 to 6 months depending on severity. Each of those treatments cost $400 dollars and my insurance will only pay for it once every 2 years. Can this help me get rid of periodontal disease? – FK
ANSWER: FK, If the diagnosis of this condition was done with x-rays it is hardly complete. X-rays are quite deceiving. Cleaning the teeth using Calcium Therapy is a lot less invasive than a lot of digging, scaling, planning, using Novocain, bleeding and measuring gum pockets. That is really gum surgery. Please do not let anyone measure your gum pockets, do gum surgeries, especially every 3-4 months. This is an admission of NOT eliminating the causes of the infection but just maintaining the disease…at a costly price.
There are several causes behind this condition and we have to address all of them. One cause is excessive dental work. Avoid it. Another is a Diastemic infection, as explained on our web site, which most dentists are not allowed to learn and treat. Calcium Therapy resolves perio disease, saves the teeth and dental restorations.
