QUESTION: Should I allow my teeth to be pulled for implants?
ANSWER: Sure. They work only 70-75% of the time. The statics for counting failures don’t start till the implant has been in 6 to 12 months. That is, until it has worked. Nothing else is acceptable at that rate of failure.
Scientific stats are to be taken from the day of implanting, filling, crowning, root canaling, not just the ones that work. That’s retro 1942 when we used to take out teeth “en masse” for dentures.
