So, your dentist was in the military. Tell him I spent 3 years in the US Air Force Dental Corps doing a lot of good, fast dentistry. You had to. Mistakes were not tolerated, and the answer was “Yes, sir.” Those GIs were going to Nam, and had to be healthy. Many would return in a black bag and be ID’ed by their teeth. I hated it, and yet, loved military dentistry. If I had stayed in I’d be a decorated, retired Bird Colonel or more. And maybe, never had discovered or developed all this calcium stuff. You never know what will break for you.
Most of the time a broken off, infected back tooth can take a root canal and be saved, even crowned. Then at times, filled and left there to keep things in place. You have to weigh the cost with all that. A loose wisdom tooth may have to go. Or if the one next to it is saved and fixed, it may tighten and heal.
Set aside any threat, “There’s no cure.” No, there is a cure for gum infections, and it is much like other infections. Don’t give up or you will lose more teeth. [Read our paper about upper front teeth Diastemic Spacing] This may be like your situation and it can be solved. Ask the dentist for an x-ray of #8+9 or have them send it to us. Oh, your dentist hasn’t hear of Calcium Therapy? He’s just one of almost every dentist in the world. They have not been allowed to learn Calcium Therapies. We have been around 50 years and specialists and organized dentistry will not let it be taught in schools. Family dentists should be upset about that. All that work and $$$ for school and frustrations in much of practice. Don’t blame him or her.
Your dentist may be normal, even brilliant. And if anyone insists on staying with 1975 periodontal surgeries, even Australia needs none of it. Long ago the best response we got on our periodontal research paper was from Down Under. A brilliant peer review! Then he was not allowed to publish it. So, we teach how to solve dental conditions, and dentists can learn what they should have learned in school, circa i972. Or watch you fly off to the USA, as many others have. We’ll figure out what’s going on, help you solve it, sent you home to rarely need dental care while you can enjoy a nonsurgical approach to tooth saving.
Caring smaring! Sure we care, just like most Australian family dentists. They’re not as long=winded as I am. Those are your teeth. Our job is to help you keep them, and if we can’t, we better study Vietnamese to sell donuts and funnel cakes at the ballpark. Now that’s a load of work. Okay, the cricket court. Email any x-rays, photos.
